Recent Events Our weekend home in Orondo was finished in December, 2007. We enjoyed celebrating Christmas there with my family and the beautiful winter scenery. View some winter photos. My father-in-law, Dr. David (Skip) McMaster, passed away on October 24th, 2004. As Skip would say, "It's not how many days in one's life [that is important], but the life one puts in each day." I'll miss all his smiles and laughter. I'll miss playing bridge with him; he was always so patient with me. The panda intarsia he made for me is dear to my heart and I'll always cherish the penguin intarsia that we made together (I made the pattern for him on the computer). In memory of Skip and the eagle intarsia that he finished just 3 weeks before: But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength.Being a huge panda fan since I was in high school, I was so excited when we visited the National Zoo on June 8, 2003. I finally saw two live pandas: Mei Xiang (female) and Tian Tian (male). Two other photos I like are: Mei sitting (black/white film) and Mei scratching her head. On May 4, 2002, we brought home two black lab puppies: Bo (male, 9 months old) and Misty (female, 8 weeks old). Although Misty is almost the same size as Bo now, we will continue to call them puppies. I was married on March 24, 2002! View some of our wedding and honeymoon photos. |
